Get down in the creative weeds for our next Coffee & Conversation at Addison/Ripley. Join Trevor Young and Matt Pinney with gallerist Christopher Addison for a discussion about their art practices and inspirations.This will be the last day of Young’s show “Radiant Detritus”.
Trevor Young the popular, multi talented artist whose exhibitions and teaching prowess have earned him a dedicated following. Matt Pinney, an Associate Professor of Art at Northern Virginia Community College, is a figurative artist with a keen sense of Art History who lives and works in the DMV.
Young’s current exhibition at Addison/Ripley focuses on dystopian night, artificially lit and powerfully composed. “Radiant Detritus” evokes historical painters such as Whistler and Ashcan artists, Henri, Sloan, Glackens, Luks, and Shinn.
The program begins with coffee and bagels at 11 on Saturday, April 26th, in the Addison/Ripley Gallery space at 1670 Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown. Seating will be first come, first served.
