John Morrell paints carefully detailed landscape paintings, many of Washington, DC. These paintings capture a pastoral beauty not often associated with Washington; yet also include architectural elements that clearly identify the city. Morrell exhibits in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. He has participated in exhibitions at the Korean Cultural Center and National Arts Club and has paintings in the permanent collections of The National Museum of American Art, as well as in numerous corporate and private collections.
