Using old masters glazing methods and ancient gilding techniques, Kay Jackson explores subjects ranging from endangered species and the environment to nocturnes and the human figure. Her paintings have been shown nationally for thirty years and exhibited internationally through the Arts in Embassies Program and Museums. The Corcoran Gallery of Art and the National Academy of Science have her work in their permanent collections, and in 1997 President and Mrs. Clinton commissioned Jackson to paint a nocturne of the White House for their official Holiday Card.
